A tutorial: Peachy Browns!

A Tutorial: Peachy Browns!

I am so excited about this post because it is my first tutorial! Today I am going to be showing you an eyeshadow look that involves peachy tones and warm browns which I think are very appropriate for both Autumn and Spring. I was just experimenting with my eyeshadows and found a nice combination that I think work really well together so I hope you enjoy this tutorial and let me know if you think I should do more!
Lets begin!

First you want to apply a base for your eyeshadows, I used a Maybelline colour tattoo eyeshadow called 'Inked in Pink'. This has nice champagne undertones to it which will help to make the next colour POP! I applied this all over my lid and a little bit into the crease as we will be applying shadows to these areas.

Maybelline Colour Tattoo: 'Inked in Pink', Mac Eyeshadow 'Ricepaper', 'Wedge' and YSL Eyeshadow Quad.
Next take a shimmery champagne eyeshadow all over your eyelid over the top of that base colour. I used Mac's eyeshadow in the shade 'Ricepaper'. This is more a yellowy toned colour but with the pink base it created a bit of a peach colour.
Now take a matte brown shadow and blend this well into your crease and a bit above. This will help to blend the colour together and add a little bit of depth to the look. Make sure it is subtle but can be noticed. I used mac's eyeshadow in 'Wedge'. This is more of a cool toned brown but you could used warm tones if you prefer. This balances out the warm tones of the different eyeshadows.
Now to add depth to the eyeshadow look, apply a warm toned deep brown to your crease and outer corner. I used the brown colour on the left of my YSL eyeshadow quad. I think the warm tone mixed with pink and champagne colours makes it peachy coloured.
You can apply mascara now if you want to make it less deep and smokey but I used a smokey blackish grey eyeliner and applied this to upper and lower lashline and then I used a little eyeliner brush to smudge it and this made it smokey. I used a BYS eyeliner in black but you can use any eyeliner you fancy!
Now just apply a couple coats of your favourite mascara, I used (yeah you guessed it) my Maybelline colossal mascara after I curled my eyelashes.
For the lips, I went with a simple glossy nude pink which I thought complemented this look but you can use whatever colour you want! Even peach which I think would look great! I decided on Mac's 'Crème Cup' lipstick and Mac's Lipglass in 'Cultured' to top it off!
I really hope you liked this post and try out this look! You don't need to use the eyeshadows I used if you don't have them. They aren't super unique colours and I am sure you could find them from another brand!

Girls Shopping Day! Coffee, Mac, Glassons

Hello! I feel as if I haven't done a post in such a long time but today I will be writing a few so I can schedule them to upload them during the week! This is going to be a little recap on what I did the other day and also a few goodies that I bought while I was out with a friend.

Recently I went into town with one of my best friends, Emma! She has her own blog and I really love it. Click here to check it out, she writes awesome blog posts and is such a down to earth gal!
We spent the day browsing the shops, admiring all the Mac makeup and maybe buying one or two things and drinking coffee! It was so much fun!

We first went to the Mac counter as I wanted to take a look at something I have had my eye on! I was so tempted to buy everything insight but it is so expensive I don't think that would have happened. I was looking for a good face powder that would set my makeup but something I could also wear on its own, without too much coverage! I found the perfect product that ticks all those boxes!

I bought the Mac Studio Careblend Pressed Powder
One of the ladies at the counter tried it on me to make sure the colour matched and it was what I was looking for, the artists who work there are always so lovely and willing to help! I love going there, even if it is just to browse!

Mac Studio Careblend Pressed Powder: Light Plus

I am really excited about this new product and it feels so nice on the skin! As if I wasn't wearing any makeup at all! That is all I bought I Mac, I didn't feel as if I needed to buy any more, although I would have liked to of course! We had spent a pretty decent amount of time at Mac so we were in need of a coffee!

We went to Starbucks for a drink because we not only love Starbucks but we both had a free drink so that was a bonus! We both got a Coffee Frappuccino and it is now one of my favourite drinks! Good recommendation Emma!

We later went to Glassons which is a clothing store here in New Zealand, they had an amazing sale on all of there winter stuff because we have now gone into Spring here and I couldn't say no to a cute cardigan they had on sale!

This is a cream and black, striped, knitted, oversized cardigan (how many more adjectives is there to say) that was down from $59 to $20! How awesome is that?? I had to get it as I down have many cardigans or jackets and this one would be great for the colder weather we are having at the moment, plus it was super cheap!

I had the best day out shopping and drinking coffee!! I haven't done it in a while to be honest and it was such a fun day! Hope you all enjoyed this post, it was a little different to my usual ones but I thought it was about time to switch it up a bit!
Thanks for reading!

MOTD: Winter Makeup - Purple Lips!

Hello! Today's post is another MOTD! I love doing these posts because they are so fun to share your makeup for the day and i love getting inpsiration. I did one last week and i got some lovely feedback from a fellow beauty blogger called Lorraine , thank you for the lovely comment!

Although it's Spring here in New Zealand, the weather has been really cold and rainy! So i took advantage of the rubbish weather and went with a more 'Winter' like makeup look. I decided to go with neutral eyes and purple lips, the lips were a bit daring for me but i love them! I hope you enjoy!

Here are a few pictures of the products and the makeup look:

From the left: BYS Pressed Powder, Maybelline Fit Me Foundation, Benefit Fake Up Concealer, Nars Blush 'Amour', Mac Bronzing Powder, 'Refined Golden'

Eyeshadows from left: Mac 'Retrospeck', Mac 'Wedge', Mac 'Sable'
Eyeliner: Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Liner 'Black'
Mascara: Maybelline Colossal Mascara 'Black'

From Left: Chi Chi viva la diva lipstick 'Drop Dead Gorgeous', Mac Lipglass 'Cultured'
Face:

Maybelline Fit Me Foundation: Shade 120
This foundation is my go to when i want a little bit more coverage than my BB cream, i really love how this foundation doesn't show my dry skin patches on my face and it it applies really nicely on my skin.

Benefit Fake Up Concealer: Sade Light 01
I am pretty sure i have mentioned this concealer in almost all of my blog posts! I'm sorry but this concealer is a dream! It is amazing because it covers my dark circles so well and yet still looks natural, i really love this and i use it every single day.

BYS Powder: Shade Medium
I use this powder whenever i wear makeup to be honest! It is currently my only pressed powder and it is so easy and quick! I have a loose powder but i find that pressed versions are so much quicker and less messy! It sets my makeup really nicely, although I have dry skin, if I don't set my makeup it just doesn't last! Love it!

Mac Bronzing Powder: 'Refined Golden'
Again, i have mentioned this in so many posts but I use this so much! I love it to add a little bit of depth to my makeup look and it always makes my skin so glowy! If you want any more information on this product, check out my other blog posts!

Nars Blush: 'Amour'
I absolutely adore this blush, not only because it is my only Nars blush and that it is so luxurious (hehe) but because it is the most perfect deeper peachy pink colour! I also like how it is matte because it makes your makeup look a little more natural. I applied this to the apples of my cheeks!

Eyes:

Mac Eyshadows: 'Retrospeck', 'Wedge', 'Sable'
I love 'Retrospeck', it is a really pretty light champagne colour with glitter and it use it so much, it goes well with so many looks! I put this all over  my lid and a little on my inner corner to brighten up my eyes. Mac 'Wedge' is hands down my favourite blending colour for the crease. It is so easy to use and adds subtle depth to the eye! 'Sable' by Mac is also a favourite of mine, i mentioned this in my Top 5 Mac Products post too! This is a pretty copperish brown with shimmer! I used this in my crease and outer corner for some depth.

Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Liner: Black
This liquid liner is BOMB! I really love how easy this eyeliner is to apply especially because it is my first liquid liner and it is so easy! I used this just along my lash line but no wing!

Maybelline Colossal Mascara: Black
I swear i have put this in every post, it is an incredible volumizing mascara and i applied a couple coats to my upper and lower lashes!

Lips:

Chi Chi Viva La Diva Lipstick: 'Drop Dead Gorgeous'
This lisptick is a matte darker pinky purple colour, i love it although it is a little daring, it is wearable and such a pretty colour! I loved this to add a bit of something different to my makeup look.

Mac Lipglass: 'Cultured'
This is a gorgeous shimmery neutral pink colour with a little bit of a purple tinge to it so it went well over the top of the lipstick. I used a little bit of this to add some gloss and shine to the lips!

So that is today's post, I really enjoyed writing this and i hope you enjoyed reading it! If you would like a review of any of the products, let me know in the comments and also let me know what your favourite winter lipsick is and maybe some feefback on my post? My Top 5 MAC Products!

Hey everyone!

This post is my top five MAC products! I love Mac and always want to know about more of their great items, I thought this post would be a good way to share mine! I hope you enjoy this post and let me know in the comments what your top five Mac products are or maybe what you want to try!

I am a huge lover of Mac! It is definitely one of my favourite brands because it is amazing quality, although it is expensive, I love to treat myself once in a while.

I have a had a look through my makeup and have decided on five of my fave items! It was a little difficult because I wanted to stick to just five when really I love so many more too! These are the products that I use most out of my collection so I hope you like it!

  1. Mac Bronzing Powder 'Refined Golden' - You may have seen a  few of my other blog posts about this bronzer. I talk about it a lot because it is amazing! It is a gorgeous golden bronze powder with gold shimmer but when you apply it gives you a subtle hint of bronze to your cheekbones. I use my Real Techniques Powder Brush with this and it goes on so well, I just apply it to my cheekbones, a little further back from my blush and it look very natural but glowy! I love it!
  2. Mac Blush 'Well Dressed' - I have also posted about this blush a few times too! This is a the perfect light baby pink with subtle shimmer. It looks very natural and has a sheer colour. I really like how easy and blendable this blush is and it always looks perfect! I never feel like I can go overboard with this colour because it is so light! I use this all the time and really recommend it.
  3. Mac Eyeshadow 'All that glitters' - This the perfect pinky champagne colour, it has gorgeous shimmer and is so pigmented. It is a veluxe pearl finish and I think this gives it a great smooth texture when applied! It was my first mac product I ever bought and I really love how easy this colour is! It looks great all over the lid by itself or with another deeper colour in the crease. Love it!
  4. Mac Eyeshadow 'Sable' - This is a favourite for many people and me too! This is a beautiful red brown colour with nice shimmer and so perfect for Autumn. It is a beautiful colour when used for smokey eyes and I can't wait to come up with the perfect look with this! It has some shimmer in it with I think make it stand out more and help reflect the light more!
  5. Mac Lipstick 'Crème Cup' - This lipstick is my only Mac lipstick but I am so glad it is this one! I really love this lipstick because it is a pretty everyday colour that looks so natural but polished. It is the perfect nude pink colour and is so creamy and has a pretty sheen to it! I use this a lot when I just need a simple nude pink lip! It is amazing!
Those are my top five Mac products and I really want to know what yours are! Comment your favourites and if you haven't tried Mac, what do you want to check out? I really hope you liked this post, I haven't seen many like this but I thought it would be a good idea! Thanks for reading, please comment your blog too and also follow me to show your support!

My Makeup Wishlist!

Hi girls!
I haven't really had chance to write an in depth post with pictures this week so I had a thought and decided to share with you my makeup wishlist! I am going to be writing a list of products that I have had my eye on for a little while. I hope you enjoy reading and make sure to let me know in the comments what is on your wishlist!

I have quite a few items I have my eye on so here we go:

  • Mac Powder Blush 'Trace Gold' - this is a gorgeous golden colour blush with lovely shimmer and looks great for the summer!
  • Nars Blush 'Deep Throat' - This blush is a gorgeous soft peachy pink colour with subtle shimmer and it looks like a great staple colour to own! Really love this colour!
  • Mac Mineralize Skin Finish 'Soft and Gentle' - This is a raved about highlighter on youtube and I really want to try it! I have never really looked at this product at the Mac counter before so I must check it out!
  • Rimmel Stay Matte Powder - This powder is almost loved by everyone! I am running out of my current pressed powder so I might have to try this one out soon! Looking forward to using it!
  • Bourjois Colour Boost Lip Crayon 'Peach on the Beach' and 'Orange Punch' - I haven't heard a whole lot about these yet but they look so lovely! They are these creamy lip pencils (as the name suggests) that remind me a little of the Revlon balm stains. I first read about them on Amie's Blog Post about her August Favourites! I love the look of these and they seem so quick and easy, with such pretty shades too.
So these are some products that I really want to treat myself to sometime! This post was a quick one but I really love reading what products people have on their wishlist! This was so fun to write and I hope you enjoyed this post! I really apologize not having any photos of the products on here but you can definitely check them out online and search up some swatches!

Maybe you have some products you have your eye on? Please let me know in the comments what is on your makeup wishlist, I would love to chat to you! :) Also some post ideas?

Thanks! Make sure to follow to me to stay up to date with my posts and I will hopefully be posting again this weekend!

Cherry Culture Haul! Nyx and Ardell

Hi everyone!
Todays post is a haul! I have never done one of these and I wanted to share with you what I bought.

Cherry Culture is a makeup website where you can buy cheap makeup brands from and it is great for us who live in Australia and NZ who don't have any shops stocking some of the brands. It is really good pricing and worth the wait of shipping!

I ordered these products two weeks ago and they arrived on Friday which was yesterday! I think they came fairly quickly as they were coming from the USA. They were packaged really well and none of my items are broken, which is great!

I ordered three NYX products and a pair of Ardell Lashes and I can't wait to try out these products today!

From Left: NYX Round Lipstick 'Fig', NYX Butter Gloss 'Peaches and Cream', Ardell Natural Wispie Lashes, NYX Powder Blush 'Pinched'.

This lipstick is the perfect medium bright pink colour which is just what I wanted. I really love this colour and when I swatched it on my hand, it was so creamy so I think this is going to be a really moisturising lipstick!

NYX Butter Gloss 'Peaches and Cream'

This is a really raved about product and I really loved the look of these glosses online and I am so glad I ordered one of these! I didn't feel the need to buy all the colours so I just chose one that I liked the look of, after trying this out and seeing how pigmented it is, I definitely want another one!

NYX Powder Blush 'Pinched'

This blush is pretty, it is a medium peachy pink blush with gold shimmer! I love the colour of this and I don't own a blush this colour! It is the perfect colour for spring too, I love it! They are so pigmented and I really want to try others!

I bought these because I have heard great things about the Ardell False Lash range and I have never used a pair before and thought they would be cool if I went out for dinner or something! I probably should have gotten the demi wispies as I am just starting out with them but it was a random buy! They look awesome and I just need to buy some glue and I will be set!

So these are all the items I ordered off of Cherry Culture! I can't wait to put these products to good use! I hope you all enjoyed this post and let me know if you would like more like this! Please know that I bought all these items with my own money.
Thanks for reading!

Winter Makeup Must Haves!

Hello all!
I realise here in New Zealand we have just gone into Spring but the weather is pretty terrible at the moment so I'm still wearing more wintery makeup! I thought it would be a good idea to show you my winter makeup must haves are! I love the more smokey and deeper colours in the Winter so that is what I have incorporated into my makeup this past season.

I have four products to show you which I definitely tend to reach for more often in Winter so here they are:

From left: Mac Blush 'Mocha', Mac Eyeshadow 'Satin Taupe', Chi Chi Lipstick 'Drop Dead Gorgeous', Maybelline Colossal Mascara

Mac Blush 'Mocha'

I wear this blush a lot in winter because it is a nice darker pink shade. It is a matte shade, so it has no shimmer and blends really easily on the cheeks. I love this colour because it gives you subtle rosy cheeks that just make you look more awake and gives you a healthy pink glow!

Mac Eyeshadow 'Satin Taupe'

The photo isn't showing the true colour of this product but it is a pretty darker smokey taupe colour and I love it just smudges on my upper lash line! It is so quick and easy but looks wintery and I just love it!

Chi Chi Lipstick 'Drop Dead Gorgeous'

This lipstick is a super pretty deeper pinky purple colour which is really different to my usual pinks but it is a very nice matte finish and adds something fun to your simple natural looking makeup! I love using a little bit of this and a purple coloured gloss for everyday!

Maybelline Colossal Mascara

I seem to put this in almost all of my posts but I love this mascara and a few other Maybelline mascaras a lot! I use this all the time because it makes my lashes look so big!

Those are some of my makeup products I love in the Winter time and I really recommend all of them! Hope you are all having a nice weather! Thanks for taking the time to read this! Let me know any post requests in the comments and please don't forget to follow!

MOTD: Simple makeup of the Day!

Hi everyone! Todays blog post is a MOTD post also known as Makeup of the Day! I love seeing what makeup people are wearing and I thought it would be a fun blog post to do!

I am wearing super simple eye makeup with a pop of peach on my lips! I think it looks very 'spring like' especially with the light pink cheeks and bright peach lips! I love this look and here are a few pictures of the products I used!

All products I used are listed below!

Lip Combo: Chi Chi Viva La Diva Lipstick 'Hollywood Heiress' and Accessorize Lip Gloss - coral colour

These are all the face products I used today, they are listed below!

Here is a little bit about each of the products I used for this look:

Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream: Light
This is a very light bb cream that I love to use for these more natural and simple looks. I really love how light this feels on my skin and it also feels very fresh when you put it on.

Benefit Fake Up Concealer: Light
I mentioned this concealer in my August Favourites pot and I really love it! It is awesome for covering up my under eye circles and brightening my face.

BYS Pressed Powder: Medium
I love using this powder for setting my cream/liquid products as it keeps my face matte but still looks natural and light. It makes my skin look really smooth and helps keep my makeup on all day. I have it in the shade medium but it is more of a light shade.

Mac Bronzing Powder 'Refined Golden'
This bronzer has some really pretty golden shimmer in it and adds a glow to my skin. I just apply this to my temple, cheeks and jaw line to give my skin a nice bronzed, glowy look!

Mac Blush 'Well Dressed'
I really love this light baby pink blush for just adding a natural colour to my cheeks! It has a little bit of sheer shimmer, a gorgeous colour and definitely one of my fave blushes!

Maybelline Mascaras 'Colossal' and 'One by One'
I like to curl my eyelashes before putting any mascara on and then I apply two-three coats of these mascaras. These make my eye lashes look curled and thick and voluminous! I love this little pair!

Chi Chi Viva La Diva Lipstick 'Hollywood Heiress'
This is one of my newest lipsticks and is a gorgeous deeper peach colour. I really love this lipstick and it adds a nice pop of colour to this simple makeup look!

Accessorize Lip Gloss - Coral Colour
This lip gloss doesn't have a colour name but it is a gorgeous sheer coral/peach colour and it looks lovely over the top of my Chi Chi lipstick! I love this combination!

So these are all the products I used to create my simple everyday look! I really love all these products and probably will be doing this look a lot this spring because it is so natural looking!
I really hope you all enjoyed this post, I might be doing a few more of them soon.
I am so glad spring is here, I love the brighter makeup looks!

Don't forget to let me know in the comments any post requests and also what your favourite spring makeup must haves are or your autumn ones! Please follow me!

Have a great day!

Review: Maybelline Colour Tattoo Eyeshadows !

Hello Everyone!
This is going to be a little review on two of the Maybelline colour tattoo eyeshadows. I have the colours 'inked in pink' and 'bold gold'.

These eyeshadows are great versatile products I think everyone should own! What is great is that you can not only use them on their own but also as a base for other eyeshadows. They are great bases as they prevent your eyeshadows from creasing and moving around, are super pigmented and help enhance your eyeshadows.

There is a wide variety of shades so I think there is something to suit everyone's taste and even in NZ they are pretty affordable. The two shades that I have are permanent in the line and I love how wearable mine are!

The packaging of these eyeshadows are glass screw top jars so they could be prone to breaking but if you look after them, you shouldn't have any problems!

On the left in 'inked in pink' and on the right 'bold gold'.

'Inked in Pink'
This one is the shimmery pink shade that is from the metal line. I love the colour of this one, it has beautiful pearlescent shimmer and a nice baby pink colour to it which I think makes it a little different to your average eyeshadow. It looks really nice under any pink toned or shimmery champagne eyeshadows and also even by itself all over the eyelid.

'Bold Gold'
I absolutely love gold eyeshadows so I definitely wanted a pretty gold base to add to my collection. This one very nice all over the eyelid by itself or as a base, I think it would work well with most eyeshadows especially ones with gold shimmer in them. This one is a it is a medium-dark gold colour but very shimmery though so it isn't as smooth as my other one. I still really like it though.

Overall I really love these eyeshadows and would love to try some of the other colours, they are creamy and easy to apply though the more shimmery ones aren't as smooth as others. They have a great range and are for the price I think are a great investment.

Hope you all enjoyed this review, it is my first so it might not be up to scratch! Don't forget to follow me and to leave me any blog post ideas in the comments please! I would love some inspiration.
P.S I think my photos are looking better!
Thanks for reading!

My August Beauty Favourites!

Hi everyone! This is going to be my first blog post and I decided I would share with you my August favourites. August has been a great month and I have quite a few awesome products that I have been loving to show you!

Benefit Fake Up Concealer: 01 Light

I mainly use this concealer for covering my under eye circles which are a real pain! This product hides and brightens my dark circles and also blends out smoothly into my skin so it looks very natural. It is a great concealer for spots too! I rarely get big pimples but if I do get the odd one or so, I use this to cover them. It is very creamy and light feeling on the skin which is great!

Mac Bronzing Powder in "Refined Golden"

This is my first bronzing product so I didn't have anything to compare its quality to but I really love this bronzer! It is a really nice bronzy colour with golden shimmer and looks so pretty on the skin! It leaves a nice glow on my cheek bones without looking too intense, I apply it with my Real Techniques Powder Brush and it looks very natural and warms up my skin tone.

Mac Eyeshadow in "Retrospeck"

This eyeshadow is a beautiful light champagne colour with lots of shimmer, it is a lustre finish which aren't always the most pigmented but I really do love this one! I use this over a primer and it looks very pretty without being too much. I use this eyeshadow all the time because it basically looks nice with every look! Love it!

Maybelline Colossal Volume Express Mascara in "Glam Black"

I don't much to say about this mascara apart from that it is probably my favourite! It is in the waterproof formula which in my opinion holds a curl better. I don't have very curled or long eyelashes but after I use an eyelash curler and apply a couple coats of this, my lashes look so big and bold!

Of  course I have many other products that are favourites of mine but I think this is enough for this post. I have had fun rummaging through my makeup collection picking out my faves for this month and writing about them! I hope you all liked this post. I will hopefully improve on the photos but they were taken at night, sorry! I am sure there are swatches online though.
Please don't forget to follow my blog!
Thanks for reading!
